Recruitment Company Ellis Mason Celebrate 3 Year Anniversary

Change and adapt. The recruitment company sector is ever evolving and in recent years, businesses across the country have been forced to adapt to a new reality, that finding the right people the traditional way – through advertising, databases and volume CV submissions – simply doesn’t work anywhere near as well as it used to.

When Luke Mason and Emma Ellis established Ellis Mason Recruitment company in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, in 2017 they did so at a challenging time for the sector. However, this and their own passion for recruitment ‘done the right way’, meant that from the very start Ellis Mason took a very different approach, one dedicated to a marriage between traditional support services recruitment and a more intuitive form of candidate–client matchmaking.

Emma Ellis commented: “I’ve been in recruitment for long enough to have seen its highs and lows, so I had a good idea of what we should want Ellis Mason to be known for and that’s ‘heart’. Finding good people was no longer good enough: we need to find the right good people for the right great employers and that means caring about more than just the contents of someone’s CV – it means digging deeper to match personalities and preferences as well.”

Ellis Mason has continued to grow, servicing the recruitment needs of small to medium-sized businesses in Letchworth, Hitchin and across Hertfordshire who are looking for the right support services staff – from IT and administration to marketing and design.

Luke Mason tells us: “2019 has been a good year for us, but more important than the growing number of businesses we now work with or positions we have filled for them is the depth of those relationships. We don’t simply provide executive recruitment services. We support our clients with guidance on flexible working, remuneration packages and interview techniques to help them attract and select just the right individuals every time. It’s not about bums on seats, it’s about finding someone who ‘fits’, someone who sees their future in your company and is prepared to give their all to the job because of this.”

In a tough market Ellis Mason has done well, with positions worked on up over 175% in 2019 and the best candidates located and placed, on average, within just 10 days of the consultancy’s instruction on the campaign. With 96% of those hires happy, content and looking to the long term in their new jobs thanks to some expert matchmaking, it seems clear that no matter the economic, political or industry changes the next year throws at them, Ellis Mason will adapt as they look forward to continued growth in 2020.
